Meet your guide in Salzburg and travel together by train to Oberndorf, where the story of Silent Night meets the warmth of Advent. Discover how Joseph Mohr and Franz Xaver Gruber created the world-famous carol, visit the chapel area and cross the Salzach to historic Laufen. Back in Oberndorf, enjoy the welcoming, cosy atmosphere of its traditional Christmas market around Silent Night Square: warm lights, seasonal scents and time to soak up the festive mood in the place where the song first rang out.
Meeting point
Salzburg Hauptbahnhof, inside the main station concourse. Please arrive 10 minutes before the tour begins.
