Booking terms
1. Provider
Direct bookings through beyondsalzburg.com are contracted with Natascha Santos Rivera, trading as Beyond Salzburg. Hotels or travel agents may apply additional terms to bookings made through them.
2. Confirmation
Before payment, the tour, date, start time, language, booking format, number of guests and price are displayed. The booking is confirmed when payment succeeds and confirmation appears on screen. A confirmation email is also sent.
3. Service, language and meeting point
The tour description and confirmation state the service, duration, language, price and meeting point. The confirmed language is binding. Changes depend on availability; otherwise the cancellation policy applies.
Guest contact details may include a telephone number for booking administration and assistance on the day. For hotel or agency bookings, the booking partner supplies the guest details; its contact and billing details and acceptance records are also processed. Required booking fields are necessary to arrange the service; without them the booking cannot be completed. Please describe practical accessibility needs rather than sending medical diagnoses. Data needed for contractual arrangements is processed under Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; partner-supplied guest contact data used to coordinate the tour is also processed for the legitimate interest in delivering the booked service under Art. 6(1)(f). Beyond Salzburg does not use these details for automated decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are total prices in euros. No VAT is charged under the Austrian small-business exemption. Direct payments are processed securely by Stripe. Clearly stated third-party costs—particularly the current approximate €11.80 return public-transport fare without a Salzburg Guest Mobility Ticket—are not part of the tour price.
5. Groups
Semi-private places are priced per person. A private group price covers one to eight guests and does not decrease if fewer attend. More than eight requires prior approval and a separate quotation.
6. Arrival
Guests must arrive on time. The guide waits no more than 15 minutes. After that, the booking is treated as a no-show and catching up with the group cannot be guaranteed.
7. Changes and cancellation by Beyond Salzburg
Reasonable changes to route, timing or individual stops may be made because of disruption, closures, safety concerns or circumstances outside Beyond Salzburg's control, provided the essential character remains unchanged. If the tour cannot be delivered meaningfully, guests may rebook free of charge or receive a full refund.
7a. Replacement guide
If Natascha cannot conduct the tour because of illness, an accident or another unforeseen and unavoidable impediment, Beyond Salzburg may appoint an available, suitably qualified guide, licensed wherever required, at no additional cost. The replacement must deliver the confirmed tour language and a materially equivalent itinerary, duration and standard of service. Guests or their booking partner will be informed as soon as reasonably possible. Beyond Salzburg remains the contracting provider and responsible for the agreed service. If personal guiding by Natascha was expressly agreed as an essential part of the booking, or the replacement would materially change the agreed tour, substitution requires the customer’s agreement; otherwise free rebooking or a full refund will be offered.
8. Weather, fitness and participation
Tours operate in normal weather. Only genuinely dangerous conditions preventing safe operation may cause cancellation, followed by free rebooking or a full refund. Guests are responsible for suitable clothing, footwear and assessing their ability to complete the stated difficulty, and must disclose mobility or health requirements before booking. No refund is due if a guest stops after the tour begins for personal reasons.
9. Public transport and external services
10. Minors and alcohol
Children and under-18s may join the farm visit, but alcohol is served only within legal age limits and official photo ID may be requested. A non-alcoholic option is offered where available. Accompanying adults remain responsible for minors.
11. Safety and conduct
Beyond Salzburg may refuse or end participation where intoxication, aggression or disregard of safety instructions endangers anyone or disrupts the tour. No refund is due when exclusion results from the guest's conduct.
12. Belongings and liability
Guests are responsible for their belongings. Beyond Salzburg remains liable as required by law; liability for personal injury, intent or gross negligence is not excluded or limited.
13. Photographs
Identifiable guests are photographed or published only with their clear permission.
14. Law
Austrian law applies. Mandatory consumer protection in the guest's country of habitual residence and statutory consumer jurisdictions remain unaffected.
Cancellation and refunds
- More than 48 hours before the tour: full refund.
- 24–48 hours before the tour: 50% refund.
- Less than 24 hours before the tour or no-show: no refund.
For semi-private bookings, these rules apply to each cancelled place. Cancellation time is when the message reaches info@beyondsalzburg.com. Approved refunds return to the original payment method. Beyond Salzburg processes them promptly; Stripe and the guest's bank may take several days to show the credit.
No 14-day cooling-off period: Because the tour is booked for a specific date, the statutory 14-day withdrawal right does not apply under § 18(1)(10) FAGG. The policy above applies instead.
Privacy policy

2. Website data
Technical data such as IP address, access time, requested page, browser and device information is processed to provide a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The site is provided through ChatGPT Sites using OpenAI and Cloudflare infrastructure.
3. Availability, booking and payment
Google Calendar, Google Apps Script and Google email services support availability and bookings. Depending on the booking, name, email, tour, date, language, guest count, payment status and booking reference are processed for contract performance (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and legal obligations (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR). Stripe processes card payments; Beyond Salzburg receives only the information required for booking, confirmation and accounting.
4. Contact and marketing
Email or WhatsApp messages are processed to answer the enquiry. WhatsApp is optional and email is always available. Booking details are not used for marketing unless the person separately agrees.
5. Retention
Accounting records are generally retained for seven years. Booking data is kept as long as required for the contract, legal duties or possible claims. Enquiries that do not become bookings are generally deleted within twelve months unless further retention is necessary.
6. Recipients and international transfers
Recipients may include OpenAI/ChatGPT Sites, Cloudflare, Google, Stripe, communication providers and professional advisers. Transfers outside the EEA take place only on a lawful GDPR basis.
7. Local storage and cookies
Language choice and necessary session information may be stored locally in the browser. The site currently uses no advertising or analytics cookies.
8. Rights
Subject to the GDPR, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or object to processing by contacting info@beyondsalzburg.com. Complaints may be made to the Austrian Data Protection Authority, Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna.
